What You’ll Do
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst you will lead projects from inception through production, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining online reports and dashboards that house information on operational performance, policy vulnerabilities, platform threats, and legal compliance. You will use data to provide insight into our policies and workflows, measure and forecast case volumes across several functions and timezones, and make recommendations for product and process improvements.

More specifically:
  • Collaborate with teams across Trust & Safety and external partners to understand how the business operates and recommend strategies to drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights
  • Design, develop, test, and launch new dashboards and reporting solutions into production
  • Maintain and support reports and dashboards running in production
  • Develop quantitative models utilizing analytical tools, statistical rigor, and data mining capabilities to drive efficiency
  • Assist with capacity planning by providing accurate volume forecasts and staffing models for backlog management
  • Help project managers & operational teams establish benchmarks, inputs, and critical metrics for new programs
  • Work with the business intelligence and engineering groups to understand existing internal tools and data warehouses and to identify data quality and reliability improvements
  • Partner with engineers to make recommendations about how to log, store, and build our data architecture for storing large data volumes
  • Build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • Conduct deep dives & analytical investigations into inconsistent trends in data
  • Provide guidance and develop data standards and reporting best practices
  • Automate and streamline data analysis where feasible

Who You Are
You are an excellent teammate who enjoys analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions and streamline operations. You are able to apply your expertise to proactively suggest high-impact improvements and partner with multiple teams to make recommendations to improve the business. You are detail-oriented and always uphold a high level of data integrity in your analyses and findings. When you hit roadblocks, you get creative by seeking innovative solutions. You understand how to prioritize and how to optimize the limited resources you have.

  • BA/BS degree or local equivalent required. Preferred degree in business, statistics, mathematics or data analytics (or related field)
  • Extensive SQL experience for data extraction, manipulation, and analyses; familiarity with stored procedures, complex joins, creation, and use of views, and database scripting
  • Experience manipulating data sets using software such as R or Python
  • 4+ years of data analysis/reporting, visualization, and dashboard creation
  • Strong project management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to successful completion
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
  • Experience handling large-scale structured/unstructured data

Preferred Experience
  • Familiar with customer support operations; experience working in (or doing the analysis for) support departments a plus; experience with online help systems a plus
  • Understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions), predictive analytics, experience with Machine Learning and data mining is a plus
